Today's List

Thought I'd share my latest creation with you. It took me  a couple days, I had to steal a few minutes here and there to work on it. I've been super busy this week. It's made with a combination of files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and border templates from Kiwi Lane Designs.

It has placement for 7 photos or 6 photos and a journaling block. The large photo mat has 2 photo tags that pull out for those little extras. Here are a few close ups.

You can find the files used by clicking the following links:

Hangin' Out!

I love the lazy days of summer. Last summer I spent 8 weeks in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's a stunning place to explore. While there I had a visit from my Niece & her friend, along with their 4 children. I took them to some of my favorite places. Autrain Falls is one of them. The kids had a wonderful time exploring along the Autrain River and checking out the Falls. It's also Monday and that means it's time for a Monday Challenge over at Little Scraps of Heaven DT blog. This weeks challenge "Make it BIG". Here's what I did.

I used the boy and girl from the "Car Wash" set and made them BIG. Such fun. I also used my "new" border templates from Kiwi Lane Designs. Here are a couple close up shot of the kids.

Their little "crocks" make me smile every time I see them. I made the border strips like pockets so I could tuck a couple more photos and some journaling in. I so love the "Framing" system that Kiwi Lane Designs has come up with, I ordered a few more pieces.

This is what the pages look like with the photo tags pulled out.

And a shot of the title.

I am really really really enjoying the Kiwi Lane Designs system. You can check them out here at KLD.

Be sure to stop over at LSHD and check out whats new. This is what the Car Wash set looks like.

And one more thing stop over at the DT blog to check out what the other DT gals did with this challenge. You can also find all the rules for entering the challenge yourself. Hope you'll join us.

Just A Fishin'

Happy Monday! I had the pleasure of attending a crop with some friends for the weekend and I got a couple layouts finished. The first one was for the Monday challenge at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs DT Blog. Be sure to visit the blog for the challenge rules and to see all the DT layouts. This weeks challenge is to create a scene.

I used the Just a Fishin' and Boy in boat files for my layout. You can find the pattern over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I also used something new! New is fun. I attended the Great Lakes Mega Meet over the weekend, very BIG scrapbooking expo. Found a  company called Kiwi Lane Designs. They have a wonderful system they call "Framing". You can check it out here:

I bought 2 border sets and used one on this layout. LOVED it!!

Here are a couple more close ups of the pages.

On the right side of the layout there are 3 photo/journaling mats that pull out for extra room. Two are smaller mats by the boat and one under the big mat for larger photos.

This layout is for sale. $30 plus shipping. Email me at KeepsakeAve@gmail.com if you are interested.

Happy Monday!

Scraps are us!

This weeks Monday challenge is to create a project using only scraps. Yes you heard me, only scraps. You can't even use a full sheet of background cardstock, it has to be scraps. So here's what I did. (Please forgive my photos, it was very overcast here yesterday. It's really not this dark of a layout.)

A close up of my Pilgrim and the journaling.

For those that know me I frequently start with a sketch. One of my favorite places to grab a sketch is PageMaps. As soon as I saw this sketch I knew I was going to use it. Be sure to check out the May edition of PageMaps. Some truly wonderful sketches.

Head over to the Little Scraps of Heaven Designs DT blog for more inspiration. If you need a super cute paper piecing pattern to use, check out the latest at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

Here's a little sample-

Have a wonderful week!
