Star Wars and The Grim Reaper!

Better late then never is the theme for me today. But the wait will be worth it. I promise. Again while digging through photos the other night I came across some super cute ones of my 13 year old when he was 4. They are all so cute at that age. He was infatuated with Star Wars! For Halloween, at 3 he was Obi-Wan Kenobi and wore the brown coat with the hood that was in the movie. He was in LOVE with this coat and wore it everywhere! At Easter he was still wearing it, even down south in Alabama. His Aunt captured these pictures of him goofing around at our campsite in his Obi-Wan coat.

I took the Grim Reaper Bear from the Over the Hill collection and instead of a sickle I gave him a light saber!

By changing the color scheme of his cloths I drastically changed the theme. To make the sickle into a light saber I discarded the blade and increased the size of the metal attachment piece to become the handle of the light saber. If you remember the movies the Jedi knights wore a tan shirt and pants with a dark brown hooded coat- looks a lot like the grim reapers outfit to me. Obi-Wan's light saber was a light blue color as well. My son reminded me of all this as I was planning the layout last night.

Here's a few more close up shots-

I did a lot or multi level Pop dotting for this layout. In the last picture you can see this. The title has 3 height levels to the letters and the middle photo is elevated as well. I will add some journaling to this layout later, but I still haven't found my printer software so right now I can't print. I will most likely add it to the left of the Bear.

I hope you've enjoyed the Little Scraps of Heaven Blog Hop! I know I have. Your next stop along the way is Misty. If you missed the beginning head over to Kristy. And remember to visit LSHD blog to see the Grand Prize.

Thanks for stopping in today!
