At this point we are 4 days into the hop. Woot! Woot! I've got another Wonderful project to share today but first lets take care of business. There are tons of great projects to see as you move thru the blogs. Some people are offering Blog candy, me included, so make sure you become a follower and leave comments as you go along. There is a grand prize and in order to win you MUST leave a comment on every blog and become a follower of the Little Scraps of Heaven blog as well as LIKE them on Facebook. This is the GRAND PRIZE:
OK business is now taken care of so lets see what I did for today:
I had this photo of my Son when he was about 10, he's still an OREO freak at 13, and I wanted to use it. So I took inspiration from the "Bobbing for Apples" set and converted it to Got Milk? with OREO's. It came together so fast it was scary! And I just LOVE it.
The OREO's are three layers of circles off set ad pop dotted in the middle for depth. Had I been thinking a bit more I might have changed the tub up a bit and made it look more like a glass of Milk but it still works. The bear is inked on the edges and chalked on his cheeks, with a little pen work for the fine details. I also pop dotted his head for depth. (I am a pop dot freak so beware I will refer to them often.)
The MILK part of the title is crisp and un-inked! I wanted it the have a sharp contrast to the papers underneath. I put one last OREO in the corner of the photo to help draw your eye across the page. This layout works for me and the little bear adds to the charm and humor of the photo. I used the Basic Gray Pyrus paper line. I heart BG.
Your next hop is Misty- The Daily Scrapper.
Enjoy your weekend!
Cindy
